OMG its May.…where have I been?? I know its been awhile since I updated our farm info folks , I do apologize…we just get so busy during ‘peak season” that I fall behind.….I am finally reporting in! Since Marvin covers the markets during the week…I am chief of all farm chores and between seeding, watering, planting, book-work, dishes ‚meals..and all others…I just can’t keep up.…so yes its my fault that the website fell behind… We’ve had a bouncy roller coaster ride with the “winter” weather and then here we are in summer ( and its May) and very dry…way too dry! We’ve added chickens to the farm ( so yes around Novemer) we should be able to offer fresh eggs.….(baby chicks & now pullets.….what an experience that has been). We’ve planted and lost alot of our fall crops this past“winter”, over 3,000 broccoli & cauliflower never made it to market (or CSA) along with Napa Cabbages…yet when our backs felt broke…our spirits hailed on.…. Some pictures are added so you can get a little visual insite.…. THANKS to each of you that have stuck with us and came to market( or CSA) and helped us plow on!!!

Delicious Pork
Here is a letter from a very satisfied customer:
Hi guys,
Just wanted to let you know that the pork roast I got from you last
week was the best I have eaten in years! It was so lean, tender,
juicy, and flavorful. What a delicious meal it made.
Also wanted to say thank you for being farmers and growing all the
yummy stuff we eat. I come from a long line of Pennsylvania farmers
and know what hard work it is. So, thank you! Your willingness to work
long hours, haul all the goods to market, and grow good food for us
‘city folk’ is appreciated.

New on the Farm !
We have started raising quail, and we are selling them “dressed” at our farmer’s markets. We also have more pigs for market too!
We’re still planting and growing veggies, but have backed off from some many “flowers” this season as we try to go with all edibles so the farm can stay afloat with the economic shift. We’ll see where this season takes us !
We have also added “Buddy-Sirloin Graham” to the farm, we hope to add our beef products to our market menu in the spring.
We are doing our own processing now and hope to start the uphill battle of becoming “USDA” within our lifetime, but for now we are under our “master feed permit” with the State, so for now its.…veggies, pork, quail and jams n jellies !
And again we also have the veggie starter plants for the home gardener! Happy New Year to all !
UF CSA Shares Open !
UF CSA shares are available now ! Please contact the farm if you would
like to join, or if you have any questions/concerns.
We look forward to having you!!

Graham Farms
Our UF/GATOR CSA program runs November 2011-June 2012. Pickups are every Monday 4:00pm-6:30pm in the all decal parking lot off Bledsoe Drive near the SW Recreation Center.
In this CSA program we have 3 different share sizes available to choose from. We offer BANKING, which allows you to miss a week or take only a partial amount of your bag. The unused portion or missed value goes into your “bank” and you may use it at any time before the program ends. This allows for you to use your bag based on your family’s needs. We send out an email list each week of what is in season for harvest and you can CHOOSE which items you’d like for that weeks pickup. You place your request via email each week based on the list. You may also at anytime order from our Jams, Jellies, Pickles, Relishes, Honey or Plants list.
We pick and wash all veggies the morning of the delivery day so you get the freshest veggies possible!
Shares available: Now there are actually 34 weeks from Nov.2011-June 2012, however we only charge for 32 weeks…Because we will NOT deliver on Memorial Day or the Monday after Christmas.…therefore you will not be charged for the 34 physical weeks…only the 32 weeks that we will deliver.

PIGS FOR SALE!!!!!
Summertime
Its summertime on the farm.….and the main veggies are okra & eggplant!
We grow 6 different varieties of eggplant, but they can all be prepared any ‘ole eggplant way. Some of the slender varieties aren’t as seedy.…..some of the
others are great on the grill. Okra is a veggie that you either LOVE or HATE.…
We make a lot of pickled okra.…its one of the farms biggest sellers.…
While we are spending a lot of time cleaning up fields and greenhouse, to get ready for fall crops.….we still have a few things going.…
we are still going to farmers markets.…so come by and see us!!!
When Turkeys Fly…
TURKEY AND VAN COLLIDE.….….…On Monday when we were on our way into town to deliver the UF CSA bags.….I discovered what happens when you hit a flying turkey at 65mph!.……Turkey lost , windshield shattered.….glass shavings all over the dash.…..yet not a veggie in any bag was disturbed.….So this week has started off with me out of my “normal” zone.……but I will bravely head to the kitchen and fix me a turkey sandwich for lunch! As far as the farm, Okra is starting to produce.….so hopefully we won’t be out of Pickled Okra for long.…the dilled green tomatoes seem to be a hit…will have to make more! Marvin & Marty started building the chicken pen…and all 10 pigs are very happy to eat squash.…We are Blessed with a great way of life!
